So, Emerald is dead, and we cant even say that it went down in a blaze of glory. From what I’ve been able to learn this morning, all of the problems were because of the malicious, childish and selfish actions of the few, which destroyed the fantastic project for all of us. Its kind of sad really. I also think that the way that LL handled the entire situation was somewhat stunted, but I guess that doesn’t matter – when has LL ever cared what the users think?
Fear not! As has been stated all over the grid and the web today, Phoenix rises form the ashes of Emerald. We can all continue to enjoy the same great aspects of Emerald without all the uncool things that went along with it. Kudos to all of those of you who are continuing the development of this great viewer. I, a looooooong time user of SL, and many of the other residents of SL thank you.

holy cow, this hunt tool me forever. i guess i don’t do hunts very oftne, cause theyve always just been CRAP, o maybe im kinda rusty, but wow! this be taking FO’EVA! Finishing it up today was especially ehctic, as the system refused to let me Tp 1/3 of the time, so i had to relog and tp in form the start location area
but definitely kudos to whoever put this together.. its amazing
Ill blog a bunch of it up when i get it all totally finished.
in other news, I have an interview seminar thing at MAC.. no not the makeup place.. the COMPUTER PLACE.. OMG id so die to work there. EEEE! (though id give my left leg to work at either mac…) Interesting how 2 of my favourite things are known widely by the same name. Ive also got an interview at debenhams new store to be a merchandiser, which i think could be an ok gig for me.. im good at that kind of thing
and
i have to go to a wedding today.. blahh.. how boring.
HOLY COW! i just finished the GSH. that probably took me about 6 hours in total, becasue i spent time looking around at people’s stores. now im gonna go take a shower and get ready for a wedding i do not want to go to … i better be getting drunk..

Ahh, it’s been a long last couple of days. A long couple of days that makes me happy I don’t go out more often. I realise that I’m not great at interacting whit people in person. So I think I’ll just avoid doing it.
Apparently if you go out with someone for their birthday, and their little brother drags you off the dance floor and tries to make out with you, you should not get your face near his ear to tell you that you don’t want to make out with him because you are too old, too sober, and too married, because she’ll come around the corner and find you, and then accuse you of cheating on your husband, with her little brother, and threaten to punch you in the face, and tell your husband, and then subsequently refuse to speak to you ever again. FANTASTIC!

Yes I know the BBBC 2010 challenge is over, but I didn’t even see that it existed until today, and if I had seen it I would have participated, so, meh. It’s my blog and i’ll write what I want to.
Day 1′s topic was “Why did you become a blogger? How has it enriched your life?”
This is a bit of a loaded question for me. And by a bit, I mean a LOT.
I’ve had a blog in some form or another for like 13 years. I started writing just html, but then that was too ugly, so I learned to do some photoshoppery (ok it was printshoppery when started out, but whatever). Ive been writing in and designing blogs and personal websites ever since. Its not so much the blog content itself that has enriched my life, but having a blog meant that I had something to design for. This is finally what i ended up going to school for, and now I’ve graduated with a diploma (that’s fantastically useless in the UK) in New Media Production and Design.

So, I was doing that GOOD SH*T HUNT and I kind of got stuck on #2, Reek. Not becasue I couldn’t find it, the prize was easy to spot. But the store.. holy crap.
Think of all the bling-tards you’ve ever seen. All of the terrible hair you’ve ever seen. All of the nasty skins you’ve ever seen. Think of noobs circa 2006. Remember how AWFUL those made your aesthetic sensibilities feel, and how they made you want to scrub your eyes out with a pumice stone? Reek is the EXACT opposite.
I didn’t even move from the TP spot before I took a photo to show my husband, who doesn’t even play SL. THIS is the outside of the store:
